Windows 10: Inconsistent download speed

My modem wi-fi download speed is 105mbps on my phone and on my laptop. If I go to another room, the phone shows 105 but the laptop only 22. With the modem signal as strong in a room separate from the device as it is when it is near the modem, I'm at a loss to understand why the laptop download speed is reduced. Ideas will be much appreciated.

• I would suggest you to test the speed using any of the speed test website or app to confirm the upload and download speed.
• I also suggest you to reset the wireless router to check if that helps.
  
• You may plug in the Ethernet cable if available and check the speed.
