    In Windows 11 Explorer, I have a "Users" folder & an "Easy" folder which is a duplicate...


    Sometime back, a windows update for explorer omitted the "Quick Access" folder which I always used. Using the web, I followed instructions and created a folder named "Easy" as a substitute. Easy may be pretty much the same as "Users" and since there is no "properties" option, I'm unable to tell if it's a duplicate; I may have lost precious drive space on a duplicate that can't be deleted. How can I remove the Easy folder without breaking my HP Envy?

    Duplicate User folder.

    I moved my default Pictures, Documents, Music folders to a new Data partition (D).

    My Users/myName folder remained on the C partition.

    Everything was fine for 2 years.

    For some reason this myName folder is now duplicated on the D partition (D\myName)

    I have now a default documents folder in

    • D\Documents
    • D\myName\Documents
    • Onedrive\Documents
    • C\Users\myName\Documents
    The same with the other system folders.

    I can not change the location of the folders in the 2 duplicate user folders.

    Rightclicking in properties, there is no location option.

    Only the folders in OneDrive and the D partition have this option.

    Any ideas?

    Vista Ultimate - 'User' Folder Location

    No tried that.

    Can copy the entire folder to D; but Windows still points to C as the location. Can change personal folders location to a folder on D;, but this still leaves hidden files etc on C;. Thus meaning there are 2 Users folders. Have managed to change the Public folder location to D;, with some registry tweaks, but this doesnt seem to work for the entire folder.

    any more suggestions
