I am unable to update my Windows 10 on my laptop. It says space needed...I don't know what else to do to free up space. What is the problem, can someone help, please?

Unable to Use Unallocated Space to Extend Partition

Okay...thanks. Will look at it tomorrow. FYI, I figured out how to get that unformatted G partition back into D.

In Disk Management, I right clicked G and selected "Delete Volume." That rendered the partition as unallocated. I was then able to extend D with that space.

Solved! or fixed! or whatever! I was able to absorb the extra space in a 3-step process:

1. resize the System Reserved partition to use the space after it
2. reboot
3. stretch the M: data partition to absorb the space after it using the EXTEND -- not RESIZE -- command

System rebooted and working normally. THX all.
