Windows 10: If anyone is having problems with their Toshiba canvio external drives heres a way to fix it

https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Fix:+Toshiba+External+HDD+not+recognised+in+Windows+10/110171ifxit has a guide to fix the drive not being read, step 3 is where you want to go and fix it but you need to have disk management open to do step three so therefore go to the search bar and type disk management and then look for the unallocated section for the drive, it should have the most storage, you want to create a new volume and then set it up and then the drive will start working again I'm unsure if it works on 11 or not but I am assuming it wouldheres a video as wellhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v

Toshiba Canvio external hard drive

I have a Memeo external hard drive. With it, I can find a backed up file from any time in the past and open and view the file contents in the appropriate Office program. With my Toshiba Canvio backup, I can't find a file. It shows a page full of pictures.
How can I read a backed up Word file, for example from a particular backup?

 

Toshiba 2TB Canvio External HD

I purchased a Toshiba 2 TB Canvio basics external HD. I am running Windows 11 Pro, and it recognizes the HD and size of the drive. I have attempted to transfer 64 GB of videos and I get a windows message alerting me that I do not have enough storage and require an additional 17 GB of space.

I have reformatted the drive, in NTSF format. Still encounter the same issue. I downloaded the Toshiba Storage Diagnostic Tool and it came back successful, no errors.

Any suggestions/help?
