Windows 10: i7-3770 Fails Intel Processor Diagnostic Tool

My CPU fails the Intel Processor Diagnostic Tool IPDT test at the 'Math' stage.My PC will often blue screen, reboot, and blue screen again several times, and this can occur at any time. Additionally many programs cannot run properly, some fail to launch and others crash after several minutes, often causing blue screens.It's especially likely to crash when my fans start to 'rev' or work at least a little harder than idle computer will blue screen and crash.Also - incidents increase greatly when installing my new graphics card.Here is the script from the diagnostic:--- IPDT64 - Revision: 4.

Polo6RGTI thanks I am trying. I found the file copied it to the desktop, but if I try to edit it I get this message. I have tried to make the association it needs, but don't see that Intel Processor Diagnostic Tool listed on the Default Apps Setting page.

You need to edit the "C:\Program Files\Intel Corporation\Intel Processor Diagnostic Tool 64bit\BrandString_LocalConfig.xml" file. Copy the BrandString_LocalConfig.xml file to the Desktop, right click it and select Edit then add a 2 to the stringdefinition: CoreStringParts = "Intel(R)|Core(TM)2|CPU|@". Save the file then copy it back to the Intel Processor Diagnostic Tool install folder to replace the original file and run the test again.
