    usb monitors using graphics card

    Hi isaac177,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

    1. May I know the model number of AOC display monitor?
    2. Is this the first time that you are trying to setup the display using HDMI?

You can try to use an adaptor (USB/HDMI or VGA as the card has 3 slots) to connect to monitor. I would also suggest you to get in touch with Nvidia to know more about this as there can be output issues while using adaptors and your Graphic card (GTX
1660 Ti) might not work as expected.

I suggest you to refer this
    NVidia
support link, and check if that helps.

    Regards,

my 2nd monitor goes to sleep after a few minutes of playing games

    Hi

    Welcome to Microsoft community.

The issue you're experiencing with your second monitor going to sleep while gaming and requiring you to interact with display settings to wake it up can be frustrating. This could be due to several reasons, including power settings, driver issues, or game settings. Here are some steps to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the issue on Windows 11:

    Check Power Settings

    • Go to Settings > System > Power & sleep. Ensure the sleep settings are set appropriately for your needs. Even though this is more related to the system sleep behavior, it's good to rule it out.
    Update Graphics Drivers

    • Outdated or corrupted drivers can cause issues with displays. To update your graphics drivers, right-click on the Start button and select Device Manager. Expand Display adapters, right-click on your graphics card and select Update driver. You can search automatically for updated driver software or visit the manufacturer's website (such as NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel) for the most recent drivers.
    Check Graphics Card Software Settings

    • If you have NVIDIA Control Panel, AMD Radeon Settings, or Intel Graphics Command Center installed, open the application and look for any settings that might turn off a display or put it to sleep. Some applications have specific settings for multi-monitor setups.
    Adjust Windows Display Settings

    • Go to Settings > System > Display and ensure that all monitors are recognized correctly by Windows. Sometimes, setting your second monitor as the main display and then reverting it back to the secondary can refresh the connection.
Disable Game Mode and Full Screen Optimizations

    • Game Mode: Go to Settings > Gaming > Game Mode and turn off Game Mode. While Game Mode is designed to optimize gaming performance, it can sometimes cause issues with multi-monitor setups.
    • Full Screen Optimizations: Right-click the executable file of the game causing the issue, select Properties, go to the Compatibility tab, and check the box to Disable fullscreen optimizations.
    Monitor Connection and Cables

    • Ensure that the cables connecting your second monitor are secure and not damaged. Try using a different cable or port on your GPU to rule out connection issues.
    Change Screen Saver Settings

    • Although not directly related to the monitor sleeping, sometimes screen saver settings can cause unexpected behavior. Go to Settings > Personalization > Lock screen > Screen saver settings and ensure they're configured not to interfere with your gaming.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, consider whether any software or updates were installed just before the problem started, as this could provide further clues. In the worst case, there might be a hardware issue with the monitor or graphics card, which might require professional assistance.

Please feel free to let me know how it goes.

    Best regards
