  1. I think I broke my PC...

I was looking for a way to change my User filename and followed the steps in this article to do so: https://www.makeuseof.com/windows-11-change-user-profile-folder-name/I'm now in a situation where I can't sign in with my MS account the one my PC defaults to is a local account and none of my files are present.I'm in a huge panic, so any assistance would be hugely appreciated. Many thanks.

    :)

  2. PC Build Steps

Ok just because I like steps i am going to create some steps. Please give me the stamp of approval/disapproval
    • Install system in case
      • Remember to connect SSD and optical to same SATA ports on motherboard
    • Turn on PC
    • setup HDD
    • run blend test in prime95 for 30-60 min
      • run realtemp at the same time
    • While in Prime95 test
      • if CPU goes above 70c in RealTemp, I have a leaky CPU
      • if my system locks up or blue screens, there is an instability in the system somewhere
      • if my system does not lock up or blue screen, my CPU is not damaged and I am in the clear!
    What do you guys think??

  3. YOU
    You Win User
Thinking about Going back to Win8.1

If want to disable IE, still can. However, can't uninstall it like were able to in XP/98/whatever.
Here's how, although I find it useful in case Chrome or Firefox stops working and have to re-download it. *Wink
    1. Search for turn windows features on or off and click it in the search results.
    • I think I broke my PC... [IMG]
    2. When the app opens, uncheck Internet Explorer 11.
