    My laptop got suddenly locked after I attached a flash drive. Now it is asking for "Bitlocker recovery key". I had no idea that it is protected by Bitlocker and that this is the way Microsoft "protects" me for Windows Home copy! I am not going to format my drive, thank you. I need to see my data back!! I spent 600 euros for this device with Microsoft Windows kindly installed, and now I am completely out of my data just because your software decided to lock my machine! This is completely unacceptable. I have paid money for the device, I have a legal Windows copy, I did not do anything bad thi

    I did follow your suggestion but I can't get recovery key.

    I got the below message.

    You don't have any BitLocker recovery keys in your Microsoft account.

    3. Are you not able to login to your Microsoft Account to find the BitLocker Recovery Key?
    4. Are you using Windows 10 Home or Windows 10 Professional?

    Meanwhile, try finding BitLocker Recovery Key if you have ever setup BitLocker Recovery Key for your computer.
