Whenever I open my laptop, I keep getting this pop-up that my Windows license is going to expire. I'm not able to locate my product key. I tried troubleshooting on my own and surfing through the internet to find solutions but had no luck. What should I be doing to get my license activated ?

Why am I getting a pop saying your windows license will expire soon? I bought the brand new laptop last 5/1/17 and after a year I started getting this pop up. Does this mean it is not included with the purchase? How do I resolve this issue?

Pop-Up Saying Windows License Will Expire Please Help

A few days ago, my laptop updated and now I am getting a pop-up that says my Windows license will expire. I've had this computer for years and did not have a problem, but I did have to replace the harddrive recently. When I go to settings, there is no option
to activate Windows or even troubleshoot.

How do I downgrade to Windows 10 Home from Windows 10 Pro and what will happen if my license expires or windows deactivates before I can? Will the product key I have work on Windows 10 Home or do I need generic Windows 10?
