I have an installed program that isn't showing in apps and features-wondering if I can add it manually

Printer isn´t working after latest update.

After the latest update from Windows, my Canon Pixma ip6600 printer isnt working. In Device Manager it shows up as working properly but when I go to print it isn´t listed as an option in any programs. Troubleshoot suggests it´s a USB 2 printer on a USB
3 port and that that´s the problem but that cant be since it worked fine before the update. I´ve tried to uninstall and plug it back in but that doesn´t work either.

 

Uninstalled programs still show in Apps & Features but not Programs and Feautures

There are 2 types of apps.

Windows\Microsoft store apps that have .appx extension and then all the rest like .exe or .msi.

I am seeing what Andre is suggesting that there might be a bug or maybe they want it this way that you only see the .exe or .msi via Programs and Features in Control Panel and the .appx as well as the .exe or .msi apps are showing through Settings and Apps
and Features.

The .appx programs are ones that are new with Windows 10 or ones you get from the Microsoft Store and those are not in the Programs and Features in Control Panel.

I do believe that they will be phasing the Programs and Features out in future release. When I do not know.

But for now just manage all your apps in Settings - Apps.

Cortana isn´t working

When I hit enter, it did something, but there´s still no Cortana, even after restart. So I tried it again, but now it says that it failed, because it´s already installed and it´s working in PC. So it should work, but Cortana still isn´t here.
