    Hello!

I have a Win10 pc, it has a Gigabyte A320M-S2H rev. 1.1 motherboard, AMD Ryzen 3 2200g processor. it has 8Gb of Crucial ram and a Radeon Rx460 graphics card. I have a USB expansion card installed, I have installed the latest VIA 3.0 extensible host controller drivers, However, the pc does not see anything plugged into the expansion card. At present, I have a Webcam and a USB hard drive plugged in and it seems neither is recognised. I get no error codes when I plugin, but if I look in Device Manager it does state "Device USB\VIA_ROOT_HUB\7&1ade9d2d&2 requires further installation." on VIA USB 3 Root Hub and Device PCI\VEN_1106&DEV_3483&SUBSYS_34831106&REV_01\6&e95d85a&0&0030020A had a problem starting.

    Driver Name: oem2.inf

    Class Guid: {36fc9e60-c465-11cf-8056-444553540000}

    Service: xhcdrv

    Lower Filters:

    Upper Filters:

    Problem: 0x15

    Problem Status: 0x0

On the Via USB eXtensible host controller and "Device VUSB\VID_2109&PID_3431\8&9a57f67&0&1 requires further installation". on the Via USB 2 hub.

    Any ideas, please.

    :)

USB 3.0 expansion card not working.

I recently got this USB 3.0 expansion card so I could use
my Oculus Rift, but I got code 10 in device manager when I tried to use it. I had to manually install the drivers from VIA Labs' website by going into the temp folder and finding the inf files. I installed them and now there is another device called "VIA USB
3 Root Hub" which has the code 10 error saying "STATUS_DEVICE_POWER_FAILURE." I don't know how to fix this. The card is hooked up to molex power and the PCIe slot. Can anyone help me?

USB 3.0 Port Expansion Card hub adapter not responding WIN 10

I've done some further troubleshooting since my last post in attempt to narrow down the possibilities.
Removed the USB 3.0 expansion card to check other USB drives and if it had any effect on the other drives.
19 pin USB header connected to front panel USB ports. Rear motherboard USB ports work with USB 3.0 devices as in keyboard, mouse, wireless headset without any issue.
Any USB 2.0 device as in Razor ( gaming controller) USB flash drive when plugged in will show up in "other devices" and are unknown devices. ( see pic)
When attempting to update driver by going to "browse my computer" > " let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer" Select Razor in the list, a windows error comes up and says it encountered a problem and cannot install the driver. The same thing happens when attempting to update the driver for any other device that shows up in Other Devices list. (see pic )
I purchased a USB 3.0 Flash drive and it also shows up as an unknown device in Other Devices list. I have also tried that flash drive in all the other USB 3.0 ports mounted to motherboard that have components that are working, like keyboard and mouse. Same issue, will not recognize the device.
    This is getting *Confused

It's working now. I saw that there was an update to Windows 10 , ver. 2004 After I updated it, restarted , no issues with USB's anymore

The only thing I see in the Device Manager image that may [or may not be] amiss is a line in USB about an Enhanced install, usually needed for USB 2 support even though eXtensible for USB 3 is there.
