  1. I have a new cpu install into the motherboard

I have a new CPU installed and asked for a Bitlocker and recovery key I don't own any of it I wasn't sure if I needed to press Y or N to Keep the previous fTPM record and continue the system boot. When I press "sign in my PIN" it goes black screen saying Loading then goes back to sign in again then goes to my Microsoft account then goes away so fast I can't even put a PIN in at all I also have wifi connection as well but it doesn't help or going to safe Mode getting same results I wasn't sure I need to reinstall Windows 11

    :)

Very good point that we must always check in the compatibility list of our motherboard before installing a CPU!

Glad that you noticed it! Buy a compatible CPU, and enjoy your new motherboard I have a new cpu install into the motherboard :)

  3. random BSODs and games crashing to desktop after installing new CPU and motherboard

    Hi, Cradac

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community

Based on the information provided, it seems you've taken several appropriate steps to troubleshoot the issues you're experiencing after upgrading your motherboard and CPU. The blue screen of death (BSOD) errors and the crashes to desktop are likely related to driver issues, but there could be other factors at play as well. Let's address your theories and provide some additional steps:

    1. Rogue faulty driver: Given the DRIVER_VERIFIER_DETECTED_VIOLATION errors and the specific mention of bcbtums.sys and rzendpt.sys, it's clear that there are driver issues. bcbtums.sys is typically associated with Broadcom Bluetooth firmware, while rzendpt.sys is related to Razer devices. A clean Windows install could indeed resolve lingering driver conflicts from the previous hardware setup, and it's often recommended after a significant hardware change like a motherboard and CPU swap.
    2. Faulty CPU or MoBo: While this is possible, it's less likely if the system is stable outside of gaming and other intensive tasks. You can run stress tests for the CPU and use the motherboard's diagnostic tools (if available) to check for hardware issues.
    3. Weak PSU: A 450W PSU from 7 years ago, especially if it wasn't a high-quality model, could indeed be struggling with the new hardware, particularly the RTX 2070, which is a power-hungry card. PSUs do degrade over time, and insufficient power could cause system instability. It's worth considering an upgrade to a modern PSU with a higher wattage (at least 650W or more, with good efficiency ratings) to ensure stable power delivery.
    Additional steps to consider:

    • BIOS Update: Ensure your motherboard's BIOS is up to date. Newer CPUs like the Ryzen 7 5800X3D may require a BIOS update for optimal compatibility and performance.
    • System Monitoring: Use system monitoring software to check temperatures and voltages while gaming or running other intensive tasks. Overheating or voltage drops could indicate cooling issues or PSU problems.
    • Hardware Testing: Test each RAM stick individually and in different slots to rule out memory issues. Also, consider testing the GPU in another system if possible.
    • Peripheral Check: Disconnect any non-essential peripherals, especially those related to the drivers mentioned in the BSODs, to see if the system stabilizes.
If you decide to upgrade the PSU and the problems persist, or if you're uncomfortable performing a clean Windows install, it might be worth seeking professional assistance or utilizing warranty services. However, given the nature of the errors, a clean install and a PSU upgrade are the most promising solutions.
