  1. I have a file I cannot delete known as "athena" under microsoft wasserbug

    The Athena 55GB file is connected to the Sea of Thieves game. Still, I have uninstalled the regular and insider versions of the game with no intention of ever playing them again. I recently ran the space sniffer program to see what took up so much space on my main drive. I was denied access after trying to delete the file even though I am the computer administrator. I've also tried deleting the contents of the folder and was also denied access.

    "Athena" and "AthenaSDK" Files in RyzenMaster Install/Uninstall Process

    I originally wanted to post this on the AMD forum but I can't even ask my question properly since they don't allow me to write one of the commands from the log

    I recently uninstalled Ryzen Master after using it for months, with RevoUninstaller; however, I noticed a file called 'Athena' which was marked as a Ryzen Master file and I'd like to see if anyone knows what this is or does?

    I went to the AMD_RyzenMaster Notepad log in my User folder and specifically searched for 'Athena' to see if I could gather context. here are some of the logs that mention Athena;

    "C:\Program Files\AMD\RyzenMaster Desktop_Shortcut=1 INSTALL_ATHENA = 0"

    "Property Change: Adding INSTALL_ATHENA property. its value is 0"

    "Skipping action: Athena_RegRead_Up (condition is false)"

    "Doing action: CheckForAthenaSupportedRegion"

    "Invoking remote custom action. DLL: C:\Windows\Installer\MSIC.tmp, Entrypoint: CheckForAthenaSupportedRegion"

    "Property Change: Adding INSTALL_ATHENA_SIL property. Its value is 1"

    "CustomAction CheckForAthenaSupportedRegion returned actual error code 1603 but will be translated to success due to continue marking"

    "CheckForAthenaSupportedRegion. Return value 1"

    "Component: Athena.msi; Installed: Absent, Request: Local; Action: Local"

    "Component: AthenaSDK.dll; Installed: Absent; Request: Local; Action: Local

    "Executing op: FileCopy (SourceName= ATHENA~1.dll| AthenaSDK.dll, SourceCabKey= athenasdk.dll, DestName= AthenaSDK.dll" (this was the log blocking me from posting on AMD forums)

    "File: C:\Program Files\AMD\RyzenMaster\bin\AthenaSDK.dll; To be Installed; Won't patch; No existing file"

    "Source for file 'athenasdk.dll' is compressed"

    "INSTALL_ATHENA_SIL = 1"

    "INSTALL_ATHENA = 0"

    I also installed Ryzen Master briefly on my laptop (it doesn't have an AMD processor but it's the only other device I have), and uninstalled it with Control Panel, since I don't have Revo on the laptop. these are the only Athena-related things in the AMD_RyzenMaster log:

    "Skipping action: Athena_RegRead_Up (condition is false)"

    "Doing action: CheckForAthenaSupportedRegion"

    "Invoking remote custom action. DLL: C:\Windows\Installer\MSIC.tmp, Entrypoint: CheckForAthenaSupportedRegion"

    "CustomAction CheckForAthenaSupportedRegion returned actual error code 1603 but will be translated to success due to continue marking"

    "CheckForAthenaSupportedRegion. Return value 1"

    "Athena.msi; Installed: Absent; Request: Local; Action: Null"

    "AthenaSDK.dll; Installed: Absent; Request: Local; Action: Null"

    what is this Athena stuff? does anyone know? AthenaSDK.dll, AthenaSupportedRegion, AthenaSIL, etc? is it a legitimate file for Ryzen Master, and if so, is there any reason why my PC has so many more Athena-related entries in the log compared to my laptop?
