Windows 10: i dont see preferred graphics processor in nvidia control panel

ive bee trying to change my default display adapter or gpu to my nvidia gpu and from what i search i need to change it in preferred graphics processor in the nvidia control pannel but when i open the program and go where its suppose to be its not there? ive even uninstalled the whole thing but its still not there. any help with this?

Hi,

You may try the following steps and check if the issue persist.

• Right clicking on the Desktop and selecting NVIDIA Control Panel
• Navigating to the Control Panel and searching for NVIDIA Control Panel

If you don't have it installed, make sure you have the latest NVIDIA drivers.

Under the NVIDIA Control Panel, navigate to 3D Settings -> Manage 3D Settings. Select the
Global Settings tab and use the Preferred graphics processor drop-down to select
High-performance NVIDIA processor. Then hit the Apply button. You may need to restart your computer.

Windows 10 version 1903 Nvidia Control Panel issues.

I understand that nvidia Control Panel is not accepting desktop color settings correctly, In order to get clarity and to assist you accordingly, we would need some
information.

1. What is the Make and the Model of the computer?
   
2. May I know the Model of the nvidia Graphic card?
   

I suggest you to try the following methods and check:

Method 1: Change the output dynamic range to full.

1. Open nvidia control panel.
   
2. Click on Display.
   
3. Select Change resolution.
   
4. Output dynamic range
   
5. Set this value to Full.
   

Method 2: Update nvidia Graphic driver.

Suggest you to update the nvidia Graphic driver from the

nvidia website and check if it fixes the issue.

Games not running as they should be (not NVIDIA control panel)

Maybe your's is different, but my Laptop has an older Nvidia card and I can set the preferred graphics processor in the Nvidia Control panel.





That is a global setting but you can also set it per program by clicking the Program setting tab at the top.
