Windows 10: I can't turn on core isolation due to incompatible driver csrbc.sys. how do i remove this...

I had a problem with my Cambridge BT100 interface which I tried to remedy via my computer. I downloaded drivers but can't remove the last one csrbc.sys which is preventing me enabling core isolation.how do I remove this driver?

thank you for the reply. The registry editor suggestion actually worked - great! The core isolation option is now greyed out (the settings is managed by the administrator) but permanently on.

However, now the same problem is for the Hardware-enforced Stack Protection option below, which cannot be turned on "due to incompatible drivers", but there are no incompatible drivers found. Is there also a registry work-around?

Hi Roger,

The file csrbc.sys seems to be the USB dongle driver. If you no longer use the hardware, you can delete the driver.

Open an Admin Command Prompt and run:

• SC.EXE DELETE CSRBC
  

Alternatively, you can delete the driver using Autoruns.

• Autoruns for Windows - Windows Sysinternals (Run Autoruns as administrator, find the csrbc.sys entry, and delete it)

Method 2 worked for me. I had an incompatible driver left, zam64.sys, and this way I removed it, I was able to enable Core Isolation after computer restart.
