Windows 10: I am unable to use my pendrive.

In laptop having windows 11, I tried all possible ways which are by default available in windows to format USB drive but none of them working.Can somebody suggest how to format USB drive in windows 11? I have tried below mentioned steps but it doesn't work. The clean command works but nothing changes and when i try to format it, the command fails to work .First open run command box > Now, write diskpart and hit enter > Once Diskpart is open > Now writing the commands, one by one.Command 1: List disk[Now, it wil

Pendrive not displayed on the PC in Windows 10.

The above issue might have occurred due to the following reasons:

• Associated device files & folders are deleted on clearing the boot partition.
• Corrupted device driver installed on the PC.

Before we assist you further, I would like to ask you a few questions:

• Did you check if similar issue persists on connecting other pendrive to the PC?
• When you say “It is not displayed in my computer”, are you referring to File explorer?

If the pendrive is not showing in File explorer, remove and re-plug the device to check if the issue is resolved. Removing and re-plugging the device will resolve the temporary hardware faced prior to the attempt. If the issue persists, connect another
pendrive and check if the device is displayed under Devices & drives in File explorer. This is only to check if the issue is device specific.



If the issue persists, check if the device is detected under Device manger and update to check if the issue is resolved. Updating the device drivers will enhance the performance of the device on the PC.



Follow the steps below to update the device driver and check if the issue is resolved.

• Connect the pendrive to the PC, press Windows key + X keys on the keyboard and select
  Device Manager from the context menu.
• Expand Universal Serial Bus controllers, right-click on the pendrive driver and select
  Update this software from the context menu.
• Follow the on-screen instructions and wait for the update to complete.
• After the update is complete, close the window and check if the changes are effective.

Windows 10 unable to detect USB pendrive except USB connection.

Yesterday morning my computer cannot detect my pendrive. I tried every USB port but none of them works. I'm also uninstalled & reinstalled portable device & universal serial bus controller drivers but even this method failed to work. Weirdly, my computer can detect my smartphone usb connection & the ESET Internet Security's antimalware able to scan my pendrive so I ruled out the USB ports fault. I don't think my pendrive is damaged because I bought it last Friday. If I'm not mistaken, this problem appeared since the new Windows update for Windows 10 1511 to Windows 10 1709. Nevertheless, I refused to make immediate conclusion without further advices from the expert.

 

Error copying from USB HDD to pendrive

I have this issue bugging me for some time. Whenever I try to copy anything from an USB HDD directly to a pendrive I got an error. Then I always have to make the copy in two steps: first copy from the USB HDD to an internal HDD or SSD, disconnect the USB drive, insert the pendrive and copy the files to the pendrive. I suspect that the computer doesn't like to copy from USB to USB but I'm not sure. I'd like to know exactly what is this and if there is a fix. Thanks.
