    I am trying to "forget" an old work account on my laptop, but every time I try, it says...


    I am trying to remove an old work account from my microsoft account lists. I was sure I had already logged out but when I opened a Teams link for something unrelated, it automatically logged back into my old account, which is pretty awkward and may have created some misunderstandings with my former manager. I'm not sure why this happened as I logged out months ago. I no longer have the password to this account so I can't go in and remove it internally as well as the fact that it would be a breach of privacy for me to log back in regardless. I just want to completely remove the account from m

    To resolve this issue, you can try the following steps:

    > Open Microsoft Edge browser on your laptop.

    > Click on the three dots on the top right-hand side of the screen.

    > Go to Settings and click on "Profiles."

    > Check if your old work account is listed under "Profiles."

    > If it is, click on the three dots next to the account and select "Remove."

    Once you have removed your old work account from the Microsoft Edge browser, you should stop receiving notifications to authenticate with it.

    I just got a new laptop to replace my older one. What i want to do is use my current Microsoft account for the new laptop and put my old laptop under a new account. Eventually, after all the files are moved, i will probably deactivate the new MS account
    (with the old laptop) Also, I want to move my files from

    my old laptop to my new laptop via OneDrive. I have family pics that i don’t want to lose. What is the the step-by-step process for all of this? Am I forgetting anything? I am getting older and I don’t think these things through as well as i used to. Thanks
