Windows 10: I am struggling to attach 2 external monitors to my laptop

I have one monitor attached via HDMI but not sure how to attach a second. I assumed I could use a dock so purchased a Ugreen 7 in 1 USB-C hub, but the laptop does not recognise the monitor when plugged into the HDMI port on the hub.The ports I have on this laptop are: 1x USB 2.0 Type-A data speed up to 480Mbps 1x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C data speed up to 5Gbps 2x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A data speed up to 5GbpsCan anyone advise on what to do or any hardware I can purchase to make this work? I need each screen to show different things not mirrors of primary screen. Also I am happy to use the lapto

I have a Dell laptop and have 2 external monitors attached but in the wrong order

I have a Dell laptop and have 2 external monitors attached. I want to change the oder of the monitors

Currently the laptop is #1, Dell monitor is #2 and my onn monitor is #3. .I want the Dell external monitor to be #3 and the onn monitor to be #2. How do I do this?

 

Applications Not Opening on my External Monitor

I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop running Win 10. I have a Samsung external monitor attached via HDMI.

My background display and task bar DO appear on the external monitor, but when I open applications such as Outlook, Google Chrome, etc., they open on the laptop screen NOT on my external monitor.

I have shutdown both the laptop and external monitor and rebooted. The external monitor is listed in Device listing. I have the display setup for Extended Desktop and when I select Identify, it shows me 1 as the laptop and 2 as the external monitor.
I have unplugged both ends of the HDMI cable.

How do I get apps to open on my external monitor? Thanks for any assistance. Cheryl

 

Laptop suddenly stopped recognizing the external monitor

To assist you better, I would like to ask if the laptop is unable to recognize only the external monitor or other external devices also.

I suggest you to run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter by following the steps below:

• Click on the Start button, and type “Troubleshooting” on the search bar.
• Click on “Hardware and Devices”.
• A pop-up will appear, click on the “Next” button and your hardware troubleshooting will start.
