I am on Windows 11 in S mode and want to convert VHS video tape to digital but can't find any apps/devices in the Microsoft store which is a requirement of S mode. Am I stuck or is there a solution I don't know about? I do not want to go out of S mode. Please don't answer my question by telling me to leave S mode .... I know how to do that. Also, I am not asking about screen capture apps or video editing apps. I am familiar with what's available in those areas. I realize that I will need a device to connect between my VCR player and my PC to do the conversion in addition to its associate

video and audio to digital. An example of this is the
Dazzle DVD Recorder.

You'll also have to decide what digital format you will use to capture the video and audio.

Capturing video is a processor-intensive activity, so you'll need a fairly powerful computer to do it. Many recent computers should have what it takes.

Once you've got the video and audio in digital format you can edit it, if you wish. You'll need video editing software for that, like

Pinnacle Studio.

A few years back I used older versions of both the above products to capture my own VHS tapes. You absolutely can do this but there will be a learning curve, and you'll want to get a good quality capture device.

There is a way to convert VHS tapes copy to digitized version, we recommend contacting your VHS tape player manufacturer to ask for a device that will connect the player to the computer. You may also need a software to record and save it to the computer.
