Windows 10: I am having issues with accessing the search bar and opening settings. How do I fix this?

I am unable to open settings and access the search bar.The sfc /scannow command results in "Beginning verification phase of system scan. Verification 24% complete. Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation."I also have tried a DISM Scan however it too fails,"[==== 7.7% ] Error: 4448 The WOF driver encountered a corruption in the compressed file's Resource Table. The DISM log file can be found at C:\WINDOWS\Logs\DISM\dism.log"

Remove items from Quick access.

I would suggest you to follow the below steps.

• Right click on the file or folder.
• Select the option “unpin from the quick access”

To pin items to an item already on the quick access bar.

Follow the below steps.

I would suggest you to create folder in the desktop screen & place all the files or folder which need to pin to the quick access.

• Open the quick access.
• Select the Desktop option.
• Right click on the folder & select the option “pin to quick access”

Unable to access windows settings or the search bar

When i try to access the settings menu or use the search bar, i am unable to access either of them. Any suggestions?

 

Cortana/search bar not opening

I'm unsure how to bring up the command prompt without the search. I do not see the CMD option in complete list and of course the search bar is what we're troubleshooting.
