    Hello,I frequently make VM's with hyper-v either to test things, or just for convenience's sake. usually with windows on them as well.But recently, any VM's I make or have previously made can't connect to the internet at all. I usually just use the "default switch", but that doesn't work anymore. I do notice that windows sandbox does still have a connection somehow, so I'm not sure what's different about it.I've heard one solution was the make an external switch, however I could never make one, and I later read that it doesn't work with wifi adapters which is what I'm using.I did notic

    I did do those steps, but nope. Also I can't make an external switch with my wifi adapter (it just gives me an error, and plus I've read that it's not supported anyway), but I don't want to make one because the default switch has worked perfectly since I started using hyper-v 2 years ago, so I'm curious as to why it's not working for the past week.

    I think it might be DHCP or NAT related (according to everything I've read) because when I use ipconfig within the vm, it shows the ipv4 being 168.x.x.x, which, as far as I've read, means that it can't connect to a DHCP. If that's the case, then I leaning to believe that the problem is with the new ISP I switched to, but again I could be wrong.

    I do still find it odd that sandbox has internet, and when I use VMware, those vm's have internet, but it's only with hyper-v where they don't. I'm not sure what VMware and sandbox do that's different, but it certainly has me confused.

    I use 2 ethernet cards in my computer that I have my VMs on. One is setup as a distinct switch, not the "default". May or may not help you.

    Also, you could uninstall all the Hyper-V add-in, reboot, reinstall Hyper-V may clear it.

    No Internet in Hyper-V VM's

    Hi, I have Windows 10 Enterprise and just added Hyper-V. I had 3 VM's on VMware Player and deleted and uninstalled Player. I have 3 Vm's on Hyper-V. My problem is I get no Internet on my Vm's. I am new to Hyper-V and would like to know how to connect these
    to the internet. I have "Virtual switch (automatic)" selected. They show no connections available in the VM's. How do I connect to the internet? (I'm on wifi.) I'm attaching a screenshot. Thanks
