Windows 10: Hybrid Sleep option missing in Windows 11 - "

I want to use Hybrid Sleep on a PC that can go to sleep when not in use, but comes back fast restore from sleep faster than restore from Hibernate. We also have frequent power outages and want to be sure it won't lose anything if the power fails while it's asleep. Hybrid Sleep is perfect for this as a Hibernate save in case the power does go out, but only going to sleep, not actually fully powering down like straight Hibernate. In my Power Settings, I am missing the normal "Allow Hybrid Sleep" optionoing a powercfg /a, it says, "The hypervisor does not support this standby state."So that's

Computer Sleep Option Missing in Settings

The Settings Power and Sleep menu in Settings should list Screen and Sleep, where Sleep is used to tell when the PC goes to sleep. Sleep is missing, so my computer never sleeps. Fast startup and Hibernate are not enabled.

I used Tutorial Add or Remove Sleep in Power menu in Windows 10 to change the registry while in administrative mode, but sleep still is not seen.


HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FlyoutMenuSettings now lists :1: It was 0 before the change.






I cannot get a large image, so will type

I used Option 3 to add sleep using the Group Policy Editor. The steps seemed to work fine, but sleep is still missing.

I’m using a “new” refurbished Dell T3500 workstation with mbr running the current version of win10. I have a number of these computers, and the other all have the normal sleep mode .

hybrid sleep on desktop missing

My wife recently 'took advantage' of Microsoft's offer of free Windows 10 and upgraded her Windows 7 desktop machine. She did an in place upgrade rather than a wipe and install. Although it took the expected bit of time all went well, but we notice that
the option to invoke hybrid sleep which was present previously is now missing. What is interesting to us is that our new laptop which came with Windows 10 pre-installed has it. We have search the Internet for an answer, but have come up with essentially nothing
except definitions of what sleep, hibernation, and hybrid sleep are and how to invoke them. which we already know how to do.

What we really would like to know is why hybrid sleep is found in the laptop and not the desktop. Aren't all flavors of Windows 10 essentially the same?

Hybrid sleep missing after Windows 10 anniversary update

Can anybody explain why and how to get it back.

I go to power options --> advanced settings and under sleep I only get Hibernate after where as before update I got Hybrid sleep option as well.



Before Anniversary Update I got the above.

I now only see Hibernate after.

This happened on Surface Pro 4.

Please help.
