    Huge ping spikes every 10 seconds out of nowhere


    Diss is my first ever post so pls no judge and sorry for my bad english.And yes im with wired internet.So im currently having diss ping spikes from 100 to 999 that makes any online game literally unplayable.Diss problem is severe for me and somehow i dont know the source because i didnt do anything specific that will lead to diss problem.Here are the results from pinging dns server.it is like that every 10 seconds i did everything i could from changing the dns to factory reset router.i tried absolutely everything let me list what i tried bellowipconfig /flushdnsipconfig /registerdnsipconfig /r

    Getting huge ping spikes every 10-ish seconds

    Hello all,
    Im having a rather frustrating issue; my ping makes massive jumps every 10 to 15 seconds for about 2 seconds, then drops back to normal. I just recently had to switch to wireless, and thought it was just a result of wifi, then out of curiosity I plugged the adapter into my brothers laptop and was seeing no spikes on it. Ive been running ping tests in cmd, I've run antivirus and ccleaner multiple times, and gone through and disabled or uninstalled pretty much every program I could think of that would be causing the issue. Still ping spikes. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

    Huge ping spikes every 10 seconds out of nowhere

    Ping Spikes

    Recently, I have discovered that I am receiving ping spikes from 200-1000 every 10 seconds or so when playing games, causing me to rubberband. However, I usually receive around 20ms in between ping spike intervals. I am using an ethernet cable that is connected
    'Wi-fi Booster', which is connected to my router downstairs. I have tried multiple solutions in an attempt to fix this issue such as:

    • Checking if my network adapters are outdated
    • Troubleshooting my network adapters
    • Changing my default DNS server to 1.1.1.1 (gives lower ping than 8.8.8.8)
    • Disabling the feature where my PC would usually download updates from other computers
    • Disabling OneDrive sync in Policy Group Editor

    This is what it typically looks like, however it gets somewhat worse over time:
