HP's Realtek Driver causing a problem to WiFi network.

3 Days ago I just bought myself a laptop, today I'm trying to update my drivers. I am well aware the ways to update drivers, I download a Wireless Network Driver Update for "Realtek RTL8822CE 802.11ac PCIe Adapter" the driver apparently cause me to lost my connection to WiFi, and I checked the driver on Device Manager, The "Realtek RTL8822CE 802.11ac PCIe Adapter" shows a error on the device status which is "Windows is still setting up the class configuration for this device. Code 56" , I tried 3 different method to solve this:- I tried to uninstall and then install previous driver on Window

    :)

  2. Realtek Wifi adapter driver disappeared

My HP laptop runs on Windows 10 and was not connecting to the wifi network, displaying the "Cannot connect to this network" error. I found the usual advice saying to "Forget" the network and re-enter the password, which didn't work. Then found another advice
to type Start + X, go to the Device Manager and delete the driver (Realtek RTL8723DE 802.11 bgn WiFi Adapter) and after restarting, it would show up again but fixed. This didn't work either: it showed up again but the issue continued. I double-checked
the password several times trying it in different devices, turned the router on and off. Last advice I found suggested to look for the driver on the Realtek or HP websites. I used another laptop to look for them. I found some in the Realtek and HP, copied
them to my USB drive, then took them to the laptop. When I ran a particular driver I found in the Realtek website, the Realtek RTL8723DE 802.11 bgn WiFi Adapter
completely disappeared, and I can't get it back on with any of the drivers I found nor restarting the PC, so now the wifi option doesn't even show up.

This is the laptop I use to work from home during the COVID-19 quarantine. PLEASE HELP!

Neither of these are makes or models of card *Stick Out Tongue HP's Realtek Driver causing a problem to WiFi network. :p

It may be irrelevant, as other posters have suggested that it's either toast or just use the LAN port, but these are the actual network adapters in the card:

Wireless: Broadcom OR Intel PRO Set
    LAN: Realtek GBE

The drivers for said devices are here: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers...ment-Notebook-PC-series/3999447/model/4036215

    realtek wifi not working

    Hi

    Welcome to Microsoft community.

If your Realtek WiFi USB adapter is not working, there are several steps you can take to diagnose and potentially fix the issue. Here's a structured approach:

    1. Try a Different USB Port

First, ensure the problem is not with the USB port itself. Try plugging the adapter into a different USB port, preferably one directly on your computer rather than through a hub.

    2. Check Device Manager

    • Check for Recognition: Go to Device Manager (right-click on the Start button and select Device Manager) and see if the Realtek adapter is listed under Network adapters. If it's listed with a yellow exclamation mark, there's a driver or device issue.
    • Update Driver: Right-click on the Realtek WiFi adapter and select "Update driver". You can search automatically for updated driver software. If Windows doesn't find a new driver, try looking on the Realtek website for drivers.
    • Uninstall and Reinstall: If updating doesn't work, try uninstalling the device (right-click > Uninstall device) and then restart your computer. Windows should attempt to reinstall the driver upon reboot.
    3. Disable and Re-enable the Device

In the Device Manager, right-click on the Realtek adapter and disable it, then right-click again and enable it. This can sometimes kickstart the adapter into working.

    4. Use the Troubleshooter

Windows has a built-in troubleshooter for network issues. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters and run the Internet Connections troubleshooter.

    5. Manually Install Drivers

If the automatic update doesn’t work, you can manually download the latest drivers from the Realtek website and install them. Make sure to choose the drivers that match your specific Realtek WiFi adapter model and your version of Windows.

    6. Check Power Management Settings

In Device Manager, right-click on the Realtek adapter > Properties > Power Management tab. Uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power."

    7. Test on Another Computer

If possible, test the USB adapter on another computer to determine if the issue is with the adapter itself or your computer.

If, after trying these steps, your Realtek WiFi USB adapter still isn't working, it could be a hardware fault with the adapter. You might need to consider getting a replacement or contacting technical support for further assistance.

Please feel free to let me know how it goes.

    Best regards
