Windows 10: HP recommends using an original power adapter from HP notification but laptop not plugged...

hi y'all so I get the following notification HP recommends using an original power adapter from HP. But I havent even plugged it in for charging.Anyone wanna help?

My hp laptop wont turn on

This is a frequent problem am sure as you have already seen from online searches.

Flea power is usually the culprit here, basically its residual power that remains on the computer even after thecomputer has been shutdown. You can drain the flea power with the steps the other answers have suggested.

• Disconnecting the battery and adapter
• Press the hardpress the power button for 30 seconds
• This should clear the flea power

If this doesnt work, read this article its about
a dell inspiron but the same applies for you hp. It has some detailed step by step instructions

 

Battery not charging and message "Plugged in, not charging" in Windows 10 on HP EliteBook 8570w

Hi all

I am facing a commonly reported problem battery not charging and message "Plugged in, not charging" in Windows 10 on HP EliteBook 8570w

I have been searching on internet and I already have performed these but the problem persist:

1. Shut down the laptop and unplug the power cable.
2. Remove the battery, press Power button for 1 min
3. Plug the power cable and power on laptop.
4. Uninstall Microsoft AC Adapter and the two instances of
   Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery from Device Manager
5. Shut down the laptop and unplug the power cable.
6. Put the battery back, plug in your laptop.
7. Plug the power cable and power on laptop.

I checked pins on battery, no bent pins

Using "HP Support Assistance" application I verified the battery is OK.

Any suggestion how to effectively fix this problem? (My battery is already at 2%)

HP laptop Battery issue

Hi,

I have HP Pavilion X360 13-s120nr touch screen, since last July the battery is not charging and the Power adapter plugged but when I point the mouse over Battery icon it showed "Plugged in, Charging) but actually is not charging.

I followed a lot of procedures to fix the battery issue like:

1. I purchased a new battery from HP and same problem.

2. I installed my original battery in different HP laptop (same Model) and start charging and working just fine, also I swapped the HP battery and installed it in my laptop and still same problem.

3. I uninstalled "ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery" from device manager and shutdown the power, unplugged the power

adapter and disconnect the Battery from the Motherboard, Press and Hold the Power Button for full 1 Minute and connected the

Battery to MB and plugged the power adapter and turn ON laptop ad still same problem

4. Also I tried to update the "ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery" from Device Manager and search for a new driver but it said the

that best driver software already been installed.

5. I did full recovery and go back to default HP factory setting (full installation) and still Battery not charging.

6. I tried different a HP power adapter and no luck

I tried and followed many different method to solve this problem, but so far no luck and I don't know if it's motherboard issue or it's

Windows 10 issue. I have couple friends and they have HP laptop (different model with Windows 10) and have same issue.

Please, any suggestion that help to solve my problem.
