Windows 10: HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 attempting to print....no ink on paper even though brand new cartriges.

I have an HP Officejet Pro 8600. I put brand new ink cartridges in and tried to print. It sounds like it is printing and runs the paper through like it is but there is no ink on the page......nothing.

HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus

We have just downloaded Windows 10 on our HP Pavilion g7 Notebook and have been unable to connect and print with our HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus.

Any suggestions.

HP Officejet Pro K550

They have now added driver for Officejet Pro K550.

Following till step 8 above here's the deviation:

• Click on Find driver from Windows Update, it will takes about 5 minutes
• Click HP as the Manufacturer
• Scroll down the long list in alphabetical order then find Officejet Pro K550 as the Printer on the right. There are 2 version, one is (HP) the other (Microsoft). I chose the HP.
• Select Printing Preferences
  
• Click on the Paper/Quality tab
• Select the Print Quality dropdown and change this to 'Fast Normal'
• Select Apply and OK
• Close Devices and Printers

 

Windows 10 HP Officejet Pro 8620 Will not print


Thank you for posting this. I tried all the listed steps and still not able to print EXCEPT when I ran the HP Print and Scan Doctor; at the conclusion of the scan, the app prompts me to print a test page from within the Scan Doctor and it is successful. I recall the 8620 being able to do this as well, however.
