Windows 10: HP envy23 touchsmart AIO windows10 black screen w/cursor upon startup

HP envy 23 touchsmart AIO windows 10, upon power up I got a black screen with a cursor and the blue loading circle, it didn't even make it to the log in screen. So I walked away for like 20 min maybe more? When I came back it was still black the cursor was there but the loading circle was gone. I tried to do a system restore which is something I read on another thread but it said there weren't any restore points. Please help, I have to work off this computer for 2 more weeks! How can you fix a black screen with a cursor on Windows 10 startup?

Hello, I have a HP Pavilion 15-g019wm Notebook and I'm experincing a black screen at startup.

After the Auto Repair screen I get a screen with a cursor, The CMD opens for a second then I get the screen

L (The L is the cursor)
