Hi, any information on the following would be greatly appreciated...

I am trying (without any success) to connect my HP Deskjet 1050A All-in-one Printer J410g to my new laptop (OS is Windows 10). Although I have tried to install different HP drivers (which should be compatible with the 1050 series), when I attempt to print
(be it a test page, web page or Word doc) the status just remains as 'printing' without any signs of action (from the printer) whatsoever. The only time when the system printed anything was when I printed the diagnostics page. This printer works perfectly
(prints and scans) on another device running on an earlier OS (Windows 7).

I suggest you to run Printer troubleshooter. Follow the steps.

• Type Troubleshooter in the search box and then press enter.
• In the left pane click on View all.
  
• Select the Printer option and follow the on screen instructions.
