Windows 10: How to upgrade 1903 systems now that 2004 KB is no longer available

I have several old systems on an airgapped network that need to be patched. I have found that they're still running Win10 1903. From what I understand through some research, these have to be upgraded to 2004 before I can bring them up to 22H2. However, I can't find 2004 anywhere in the MSFT catalog or online from reputable sources.It's not really an option to pull these machines out of service and reinstall Windows entirely.

1909 to 2004 upgrade

The 20H2 iso is available for download (see News section), so that naturally 'includes' 2004. This is a step preceding 20H2 becoming available by Windows Update in place of 2004; presently you'd be offered 2004 by WU then the 20H2 enablement package. All downloads are available following the relevant article in the News section.

It's an evolving scenario following the pattern of 1903/1909.

 

1903 upgrade to 2004

I am running Win 10 Home 64 bit Ver 1903 OS 18362.900 and since early July I have had continual problems with the automatic Win10 upgrades shutting down my printer. I have installed the KB4567512 "fix" and it doesn't help. I have uninstalled updates and
that worked until I got another automatic update on 7/28. Since then I have been unable to use my Brother printer MFC-J270w. The printer is okay because I can run it from my laptop, so the problem is the Win10 updates. One solution might be me upgrading
to Ver 2004 but I am not allowed to do that yet, according to my update page and what I read online. So, my question is: When can my 1903 upgrade to 2004, and do you think that will be the easiest way to solve my problem?

I really need my printer and all of this is beyond frustrating. Is there anyway to get this message to the Win10 update team? Is there anyone that works for Microsoft that gives a damn?

Upgrading to Windows 10 2004 failed multiple times

I have tried several time to upgrade my system to 2004 but it fails with various messages, the latest being a "0xC1900101" error. I tried the suggestions on this page "Get help with Windows upgrade and installation errors - Microsoft Support"
but to no avail. Indeed I have been trying to update in the past with 1903 and 1909 versions and they fail too. I guess I should have raised this a while ago!:-(

Can someone please help me because my version (1803) is at end of service and I shall no longer have support for it?

What files would help to solve this? I do have the log file as text for one of the failed upgrade attempts.
