    How to trigger restore point creation through GPO or other means with MS Active Directory


    Bonjour,I am running a bunch of Windows 10 and 11 in an AD domain with Windows Server 2016.I would like to create restore points on my domain computers but could not find a straight forward way to do that so far.I see some websites stating it is possible through a GPO but it is done via Windows Defender -> Scan:This policy setting allows you to create a system restore point on the computer on a daily basis prior to cleaning.We do not use Windows defender but instead a commercial antivirus. What can I do?

    Scheduling System Restore Point Creation


    I have tried to precisely follow the instructions set out in System Restore Point : Create at System Startup - Windows 7 Help Forums, but the Task Scheduler / script is failing to create a restore point:
    • Running the script manually creates a Restore Point.
    • Task Scheduler appears to run the script, but no Restore Point results.
