Windows 10: How to stop saving game files to OneDrive?

Hey there!My sims 4 saves keep going to my OneDrive along with THOUSANDS of scratch files. How do I stop it saving to OneDrive and just save locally on my computer? I did disable the documents sync and when I opened my game, it was like starting from brand new, all my saves were gone. I reselected the sync option and they are back. I don't want to lose progress, is there a way to do this without sacrificing my saves? Also if I move my saves from the OneDrive Documents folder to the local documents folder, how do I create a path so the computer/EA App know where to save them? I feel if I just r

Most games save to the Documents folder, if you have OneDrive backup enabled, it sets the documents folder under the OneDrive folder as the default Documents folder. The only way to stop games from saving to the documents folder under OneDrive is to disable the backup feature for the documents folder since games do not provide any option to change the save location to another folder. This will set back the Documents folder to be under the user folder but will stop the sync.

All my games are saving to my OneDrive documents folder. How do I stop this? I want my actual documents (such as PDF and Word) to be synced with OneDrive, but not my games, which should only be saved locally and don't belong in the documents folder at any rate.

 

Windows 10 - OneDrive

Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.
