    How to show certain icons like recycle bin but hide all others?


    I know how to hide desktop icons in Win 11. I also know you can go into themes and click apply on recycle bin. However I can't get the recycle bin to show if the others are hidden. What do I do? Where do people put the recycle bin these days anyway?

    Lost Recycle Bin in Windows 10

    Hello,

    We highly suggest to follow the steps below:

    • Click the Start button , type desktop icons into the search box, and then click Show or hide common icons on the desktop.
    • In the Desktop Icon Settings dialog box, do one of the following: To hide the Recycle Bin, clear the Recycle Bin check box. ...
    • Click OK.

    Show or hide the Recycle Bin on the Windows10 desktop

    Hi Dan,

    Showing the Recycle Bin on you screen is possible. To do that, please follow these steps:

    • Type Settings on your search bar.
    • Select Personalization and choose Themes.
    • Click on Desktop icon settings.
    • Select the Recycle Bin and click Apply.

    Hi,

    With Windows 10 we have an option to show or hide Recycle bin icon. Please follow these steps to show the icon to your Desktop:

    • Select the Start button, then select Settings .
    • Select Personalization > Themes > Desktop icon settings.
    • Select the Recycle Bin check box > Apply.
