    How to Reset System Settings in Windows Settings App to Default


    Hello,I want to reset all system settings within the Windows Settings app back to their defaults, as they were when Windows was first installed. How can I do this without reinstalling Windows or performing a factory reset?Also, I tried resetting the Settings app, but some system settings, such as the display scaling being set to 175% instead of the recommended 150%, remained unchanged after resetting the app. I was told that actual configurations for most system options are stored separately from the app itself.If possible, could you provide images or screenshots of what these default system s

    How to reset Windows 10 settings to default?

    Hi,

    As per your concern, some settings on Windows 10 have default options. You can reset Windows 10 to its defaults app by following this steps.

    • Go to Settings.
    • Choose System.
    • On the left side, select Default app.

    Reseting monitor to default settings?

    Is it possibel to reset the monitor to default settings?

    My problem is that I accidently set the monitor to 100Hz, so it went black in windows. I can get into safe mode with no problems, but in normal mode the monitor stays black. Is it possible to set the Hz in safe mode? I can't access the NVIDIA control panel in safe mode, and the monitor properties say 'Use Defaults'.

    Monitor model is: Dell D1226H.

    I suggest you to follow the steps provided below and check if it helps.

    • Navigate to Start>Settings>System.
