Windows 10: How to remove One Drive from my Quick Access Bar

I have moved all my One Drive files from the cloud back to my PC and deleted the OD program which I don't need for anything. However, OD is still shown under my Quick Access Bar and I want to remove it. I was told that I could do that by right clicking it on the Quick Access Bar and clicking on "Unpin" to remove it. However, when I do that, I get this message. What do I need to do to remove OD from the Quick Access Bar?Thanks for your help.-Barry

Remove items from Quick access.

I would suggest you to follow the below steps.

• Right click on the file or folder.
• Select the option “unpin from the quick access”

To pin items to an item already on the quick access bar.

Follow the below steps.

I would suggest you to create folder in the desktop screen & place all the files or folder which need to pin to the quick access.

• Open the quick access.
• Select the Desktop option.
• Right click on the folder & select the option “pin to quick access”

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community. I understand your concern and I am glad to assist you.

Please follow these simple steps to bring back the old This PC view in Windows 10 File Explorer:

1. Open File Explorer, click on View tab in Ribbon and then click on
Options.

2. Now to remove frequent folders and recent files list from Quick Access/Home view, uncheck following 2 options present under
Privacy section:

• Show recently used files in Quick Access
• Show frequently used folders in Quick Access

It'll immediately remove these 2 sections from Quick Access view in File Explorer.



3. If you want to completely get rid of Quick Access/Home view from File Explorer, change the option "Open File Explorer to" from "Quick access" to "This PC" using drop-down list. It'll
set the old This PC view as default in File Explorer and you'll always have disk drives page visible whenever you open File Explorer.

File removal from Quick Access

If you right click that file in Quick Access, and choose 'Remove from Quick Access' is that when you get that error?

If it is, then your Quick Access list is corrupt and the only way to resolve this would be to clear the whole Quick Access list, please note. this will remove everything from Quick Access

Open File Explorer.

In the Address bar paste this and press Enter:

shell:recent\AutomaticDestinations

Delete the contents of the resulting folder

In the Address bar paste this and press Enter:

shell:recent\CustomDestinations

Delete the contents of the resulting folder

Restart (not shut down) your PC.
