Windows 10: How to install Audio Device.

So last December, I have had the blue screen of death, so I reinstalled Windows 11 on my computer to fix it and everything worked fine until my audio doesn't work. I hover over it, and it says, "No Audio Device is installed" I have read multiple forums and watched multiple videos.The biggest suggestion says to 'Windows+X' then Device Manager and chose to reinstall the Audio stuff or update it and restart the device. I have tried this multiple times, and it does not work.Another popular suggestion is to troubleshoot what's going on. I do that, asks me if it can play a sound to help and then it

I've tried every step that was suggested, still getting no audio output device installed.

 

Numerous audio devices - why?

Looks like you have audio drivers installed for your AMD card. If you don't use it, you should be able to just uninstall that aspect of AMD drivers. I don't use the Audio through my Nvidia card, so I just don't install that driver.

Or, just ignore them as you suggest.

 

No Audio Output Device is Installed

You will need to select Windows 8 from the drop down list while installing the driver in compatibility mode.

I would suggest you to try setting the speaker as default audio output by following the steps below and check if it helps.

1. Right click on the sound icon on the right bottom corner of the taskbar.

2. Select "playback devices".

3. If "speaker" is not set as the default device, highlight it and click "set as default".

5. Save the changes.
