Windows 10: How to fix Windows not letting drivers be updated or completing updates

So I bought a new webcam as my old one was failing. When I plugged it in it it didn't properly show up even with the accompanying software installed. In the device manger it was listed under "other devices" with a yellow triangle. After clicking the button to update the driver automatically it would show a screen saying: "Windows encountered a problem installing your device Windows found drivers for your device but encountered an error when attempting to install them.icon for webcam USB Video DeviceThe system cannot find the file specified.If you know the manufacturer of your device you can

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Thank you for trying to help , i did tried your suggestion but it did not work :/ , nothing seems to make it work on Windows 10 Fall Creators Update 1709. In the meantime i have bought a new SoundBlasterX AE-5 and it did installed flawlessly , no problems whatsoever. it is up to Creative ( drivers ) and Microsoft ( bug fix ) to fix this huge bugs with Audio.

Check the date on the one you thought it was. Nov 4 2015 <-That's not June

The rollup does contain the fix.
