    How to fix unmountable boot volume using Hiren's Boot CD


    Hello,I ran into an issue recently where my computer crashed after trying to run Counterstrike 2 using a very outdated GPU. The computer froze and I couldn't force a shutdown by holding down the power button so I switched off the power supply and this seemed to cause problems. My PC is now stuck in an unmountable boot volume loop when trying to boot up, so I've been trying to access recovery tools using a bootable USB.I had problems trying to get a bootable USB to work in the first place, but I've managed to successfully boot into Hiren's BootCD PE Preinstallation Environment, and I'm wonder

    Unmountable Boot Volume

    Unmountable boot volume usually means a bad hard drive. Booting the XP CD and running chkdsk will sometime bring the computer back to life for a while, but eventually the drive will die.
