Windows 10: How to enable or disable the icon that appears when I click the num lock. on the screen

Hey guys, I have a Victus computer and I need some guidance into how to enable this num lock option since for my work is very useful. I had to reset my computer, and not I don’t see the option on the screen anymore. Thanks so much in advance for the guidance.

Thank you for your reply, however I have not had any success.

I had num locked enabled then I followed the steps exactly... unchecked
Turn on fast startup (recommended) and saved the changes. I restarted the computer and num lock is still disabled on start up.

I have also tried another forum suggested method: log in screen press num lock key to enable and then restarting from log in screen. This also did not work. Is it something to do with windows 10??

Num Lock black icon on screen

Lenovo B590 running Windows10 - i can not remove the black Num Lock icon on my screen, any suggestions? /Frank

 

Tried to enable num lock key on bootup and now I'm locked out

Leaving Fast Startup disabled is fine. Here is the tutorial here on Tenforums for the Num Lock key at sign-on.

Read thru them both, and make sure all the proper steps were taken. It should not lock you out of your laptop.
