    How to enable Directx 12 when in windows 11 its disabled?


    I've tried to download DirectX for it to say it's finished so in case I have to download NVIDIA,I've tried that and I've gotten a tab saying "it can't continue" on it when my windows is all up to date. ***Move from Microsoft Teams / Unknown/other / Other***

    How do you enable DirectX 12 ultimate in Windows 11?

    Using Win11, ran dxdiag to find what version of DirectX I have and it says DirectX12 Ultimate, but lists it as disabled. Have just run the latest windows updates and the DirectX installer, but it still shows as disabled when I rerun the dxdiag, even after having restarted the laptop. How do I enable the DirectX 12?

    Hello.

    I do have directX, but just not 11, i have 12. My question is why I cant run a directX 11 app with directX 12. The link sent was a link to the directX installation. Please read the question before posting the answer.
