Windows 10: How to downgrade from windows 11 to 10 Without any data loss

Hello i recently bought New gaming laptop and it already had windows 11 The perfomance IS **** it lagged soo muchMy cousin has the same gaming laptop But With windows 10 and The perfomance is bestI already had my gaming laptop for 1 year and there is a lot of apps and files what can i do to downgrade to windows 10? Without any app loss or files!!!!

Convert Windows 10 from Legacy BIOS to UEFI without Data Loss

Here it is:

Asumming you already have:
1) Windows Installation USB/DVD
2) Macrium Rescue disk.

Here's a step by step procedure:

Create a backup image of the whole disk to another external/internal disk and don't forget to verify it.

Boot up Windows installation disk, hold SHIFT+F10 to get the command Windows and type:
diskpart
list disk
select disk # where # is the SSD of current Windows
clean
exit
exit

Click Next and select Custom then continue to install Windows, when get to the screen below, select the unallocated partition then click Next (do not format)

On next screen below. After getting the check mark on the first item, click on the red X to cancel the installation, turn off the PC:
This should create:
500MB Recovery, 100MB EFI System, 16MB and C drive with not much data in it, you will restore the original C drive on next step.

Now boot up the Macrium Rescue disk, select the image from step 1, and select the SSD as destination disk.

Click on C partition of destination then click on "Delete this partition".

Drag and Drop the C partition from source to destination.

Once done, click on "Fix Windows boot problems"

Get into BIOS and select UEFI to boot from GPT disk.

Boot into Windows, you are now running Windows with GPT disk.

The procedure should not take long, 30 minutes at most. HTH.

downgrade win 11 to win 10

I just reran the Media Creation Tool that I just downloaded a few minutes ago. It took less than three minutes to create the ISO file on my medium powered computer with NVMe SSD and 500 Mbps internet connection. Maybe try restarting your computer and downloading a fresh Media Creation Tool? Make sure to note where the ISO file is stored at the last step:

Downgrade Question

Hi, Im not sure if this is the correct area for this but, If you downgrade from windows 10 using an ISO will you lose data and if you do is there anyway to keep the data.

That means a clean install of windows, whatever version it may be.

A clean install will format the C drive, so all the user data (in the user folders like Desktop, Documents, Downloads, Music, Picture and Videos) will not be available any more. So it will cause loss of data, for sure.

To avoid the loss of data, you need to move the data elsewhere. It may be

Cloud like OneDrive or Google Drive.

Any other HDD, internal or external

USB drives or DVDs, if the volume of the data is not much more

I would prefer OneDrive. Once it is synced, it is accessible as it is in the computer itself.
