Windows 10: how to deactivate software from my stolen laptop

i have lost a laptop someone came in and steal my laptop, i reported at police station but nothing traceable, apparently i want to activate in the software to another laptop but its blocking them to become activated. so i really need to be assist with the activation because i am using it for business now i am stacked i cant do anything.

Thanks for the additional suggestions. I did chat with a Microsoft rep today, and they advised me to activate the product key on my new PC which will deactivate the license on the stolen one. I asked if they could deactivate the stolen key right now, but they said they cannot.

Stolen Laptop

Hello,

I have read several responses about trying to deactivate a laptop or software. I do have Windows 10 and the "find my laptop" is active. It just seems like something could be done once the laptop is used on the internet or wifi?? It along with my iPad was
stolen from my back seat. I have activated the "stolen" option for the iPad and just waiting to get an alert if it is connected to wifi. Is the purpose of "find my laptop" only for us who misplace it? I was hoping there would be something that would lock
it once it connected to the internet or wifi??

Please try not to be to harsh with your responses..... some I have read are pretty brutal!! LOL it is hard enough losing 2k of equipment.... without someone inferring stupidity on my part.
