Windows 10: How to customize the address bar in File Explorer Windows 11 version 23H2?

My problem is, ever since Windows 11 has updated to version 23H2, I don't have enough space to see the full length of my address bar, instead, there is "..." and a down menu opens up. But the real pain is that except for two folders, it does not even show me the full length, the other folders in the address bar are not shown!Especially since I always minimize the file explorer, see the screenshot it has been frustrating jumping some folders in the address bar back and forth. Notice I don't want to open the other file explorer in e "New tap" using the "+" on top. I want to work on separate wi

Windows 11 23H2 upgrade broke File Explorer, it will not run

Good news!

Problem seems to be fixed by 2023-11 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 23H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5032190) update released 11/14 that I installed on 11/15. In the Knowledge Base notes is the following under File Explorer:

• This update addresses an issue that stops File Explorer from opening.
  

It worked for me, no longer have any problems, no need to re-install (somehow I couldn't roll back 23H2 update and had no recovery point before that time).

This new font size is totally normal : this redesign is part of the new Windows 11 update, called the 23H2.

The Explorer interface is the same, but the address bar has been redesigned to be clearer and more visual.

How to have full path always show in Address bar in file explorer?

You can change the Windows 11 File Explorer address bar to show the full file path by following these steps:

1. Open File Explorer.
   
2. Click on the three-dot menu icon located at the top right of the window.
   
3. Click on 'Options'.
   
4. In the 'Folder Options' window that appears, go to the 'View' tab.
   
5. In the 'Advanced settings' list, find and check the 'Display the full path in the title bar' option.
   
6. Click 'Apply', then 'OK'.
