Windows 10: How to configure defender firewall

HiI am pretty good at this stuff but this one has me baffled and I have really never played with the windows firewall so I feel pretty stupid.... I have read and tried a couple of things in the in the firewall but nothing I do will work.... As you will see below, I have proven it is the windows firewall blocking the traffic I just do not know how to get around it.Two in-house networksDefault = 192.168.0.0/24Lab = 192.168.4.0/24I have a windows 11 pro 24H2 machine on the Lab networkI cannot map a drive or Ping the windows 11 machine from the default network I can connect Map and Ping the

• Type Windows Defender Security Center and press Enter.
• Click Firewall and network protection.
• Click Private (discoverable) network and click On.
• Click Public (non-discoverable) network and click On.

How to configure router firewall to allow Windows Defender to update virus definition?

Windows 10 version 1607 and 1703. My firewall is Fortigate 60E.

To configure firewall policy to allow Windows Defender to update virus definition, I need the following information:

1. List of URLs / domain names / IP addresses used by the update server.

2. Port numbers used by Windows Defender to check and download updates.

Based on your information, I would like to inform you that if you are using third party anti-virus program Windows defender will automatically turn off from your system you will not able turn it on manually.

Method 1: Check the following services and ensure it is started.

1. Press Windows and R key together on your Keyboard.
   
2. Type Services.msc and hit Enter.
   
3. Search for the following services:

4. Start the above services and reboot the device.
