Windows 10: How to change / invert the scrolling direction for a touchpad connected to a desktop PC...

This question has been asked here before with no solutions. The threads I found are all locked, so I could not respond directly e.g. 15 Feb 2023, 17 Mar 2022, 25 Dec 2022.Other threads with similar questions offer solutions that only work for laptops. e.g. 31 Jan 2023, 3 Sep 2019, 3 Aug 2015.I had the same issue and I found a good solution, so I wanted to post it here.The IssueI have a desktop PC running Windows 11. Note: this solution should work for Windows 10 as well. I have connected an Arteck HB305-4B Bluetooth keyboard to my PC. This keyboard has an integrated touchpad:I want to reve

Change the touchpad scrolling direction of 'Microsoft all in one external mediakeyboard'

The touchpad on my 'microsoft all in one external mediakeyboard' has an inverted scrolling direction.

I have tried everything: from looking for the settings in the device manager (which does not contain the option to change the touchpad scrolling directions) to changing the registry setting for touchpad scrolling direct from 0 to 1.

Are there any other options?

I appreciate the efforts taken by you in resolving the issue. I understand that you are unable to invert the touchpad scroll direction. I’ll certainly help you with the issue.



However, please let us know:

• May I know the update that was installed on the computer after which you are facing this issue? To check go to
  Start >> Settings >> Update & Security >> Windows Update >> View update history.
  
• What is the make and model of the computer?
  

The touchpad settings depends on the driver that is installed on the computer. If your computer is using Windows Precision drivers, you will be able to find the scroll settings under
Start >> Settings >> Devices >> Touchpad.



However, if your computer is using other drivers such as Elan or Synaptics, then you might need to look for the settings in the respective software. To open the software, you can follow the steps mentioned below:

1. Press Windows logo key + R, to open
   Run dialog box.
   
2. Type main.cpl and click on
   OK.
   
3. Click on the last tab that says Elan/Synaptics and click on
   Options.
   

This will open the respective software and you can look for the scroll options.

How do I change scroll direction of a mouse NOT listed under Mice?

Thanks; yes, those are great directions and did work to change the direction of the wired mouse that came with the computer. But the mouse I'm using doesn't show up as a mouse in the hardware list, so I can't follow the rest of those steps. I need the mouse to appear on the list of mice in order to complete this sequence.
