Windows 10: How to activate a Pro Upgrade on Parallels Desktop VM?

Hello all,I just downloaded Parallels Desktop app and also bought Windows 11 Home for activation. Consequently I learned that VM comes with a default Pro, my activation key bought from MS Store does not work. I downloaded Windows Home to my Parallels, upgraded it to Pro. Now it works with the activation key but the display and resolution is not the same with the default Pro coming with Parallels Desktop.1 How can I use this upgraded Windows Pro in the default Parallels VM Pro?2 If there is no way, how can I return these products Windows Home and Pro upgrade to MS and buy a Windows Pro fr

Windows 8.1 activation key on Windows 10 Parallels VM

Hi,

I have a Windows 8.1 (box version) OS. I was able to successfully use activation key from that box to activate Windows 10 on one of my desktop machines. But then, I've decided to drop my Windows 10 from desktop, and install it as Parallels VM under macOS
High Sierra. However, I guess that the previous desktop installation is still active (though uninstalled already from disk), and therefore, prevents me from VM activation now.

Is it possible to somehow "reset" all previous activations for a specific activation key, and activate my VM? Or do I need to buy a new key?

Move Activated Windows 10 from Parallels VM to different computer

Hi, I have an activated W10 install in Parallels VM on my Macbook Pro. I'd like to remove the VM and use the license on another computer.

If it matters, the VM was originally a Windows 7 install, and I did the in-place W10 upgrade.

Any secret to doing this? Thanks!

 

Unable to activate Windows 10 in parallels

I transferred a valid and activated copy of windows 10 (free upgrade from Windows 7) to Parallels on my Mac. The copy in Parallels though says it is not activated. How do I activate this VM?

The original windows computer is now switched off and not used, but is a windows 7 virtual machine in Parallels on this Mac.
