  1. How does one allocate more vram to an AMD integrated graphics card

I have an HP Pavilion Desktop that has a AMD Ryzen™ 5 2400G with Vega 11 graphics and 12gb of ram and can't seem to find a way to allocate more to it. I've tried using BIOS but there's no graphics settings for me to choose.I have played games smoothly on it but had to replace the hdd and it seems it reset the vram somehow.

    Increasing graphics video memory allocation

I believe most recent laptops have no option to allocate more system RAM to integrated graphics, and Win10 does not really need such

an option to increase the amount allocated by the mfg of the machine.

Partly because Win10 will automatically allocate more as required, and partly because if you are trying to get better performance

from an integrated graphics processor, allocating more RAM is not going to help. The gpu is the bottleneck.

If your machine has a dedicated graphics card with dedicated VRAM you cannot increase that because it is soldered to the board.

    Graphics Card

I believe you are wanting to increase the amount of VRAM on your AMD HD7000 series graphics card.

    Can't be done.

I expect the 1792MB is the true amount of VRAM on a '2GB' graphics card. It's not unknown for mfg's to

short cut the advertised value. Nvidia did the same with their GTX970, labelling it as 4GB when it had only 3.75GB VRAM.

    - You can only specify a set amount of system RAM set aside for use by integrated graphics. This does not apply

to dedicated graphics cards because they have their own VRAM.

Even if you could 'dedicate' 6GB your gpu is not likely up to the task of processing that much data.

The game (via cpu/gpu), and Windows deals with the amount of data being fed to the system RAM while on it's way

to the VRAM/gpu on the graphics card. This is dynamic, so the numbers you see in Task Manager > Performance

in relation to graphics are not fixed.

    - If you were using a laptop with integrated graphics the amount of system RAM allocated to graphics is often fixed,

even on machines that also have a dedicated gpu.Desktop machines generally have an option in BIOS where you can select Auto, or from several quantities starting from as

low as 64MB, to a maximum of 2GB, depending on the machine/motherboard. Some 'gaming' motherboards have a

fairly low limit. My current MB only allows 512MB for the Intel HD 4600 graphics.

Steam Graphic card not supported. Medal of honor

Medal of Honor (2010) requires a dedicated graphics card with a minimum of 256MB
    VRAM .

Intel HD 620 and all other models of integrated
graphics have no VRAM. They rely on the
system RAM (AKA - 'shared' RAM).

Laptop mfg's often call the amount of system RAM that is allocated (AKA -'dedicated') to graphics video RAM.

This is misleading advertising for which they should have been taken to court long ago.

True Video RAM (VRAM) is is a faster type of RAM only found on dedicated graphics cards.
