    How do you open heic files in jpg?


    I bought the MS heic video extensions app but could not get it to work. It also interfered with the jpg files on my laptop they wouldn't open. So I uninstaller the heic video extensions app. But still need to know how to take the heic photos from my phone and be able to open them on my laptop. Appreciate any help. Thank you.

    HEIC file viewing

    I have the HEIC Image extensions and the HEVC video extensions on my Windows 10 PC but the TWINUI application will still not open the HEIC file. Any suggestions?

    I have tried converting it to JPG using the APowersoft application but it downloads the file to a location that does not seem to exist on my PC - "...Users/[user name]\AppData\temp...

    .heic files

    Thank you for your response. I installed the app according to your suggestion. It did not solve the problem. The .heic file extension did have photos as default apps. I then reset the following 4 apps:

    Heif image extensions

    Hevc video extensions

    Hevc video extensions from device manufacturer

    Photos

    After doing all these I am still not able to open the heic files. Very frustrated.

    Hi Edward,

    We need more information about your concern. Are you trying to convert and open other image format to HEIC? If yes, a certain program will be needed to open that kind of file, we suggest checking the Windows Store for programs that can convert other image
    format to HEIC. Make sure to download the program with the highest rating and good reviews.
