    How do you delete Protection History In Windows 11?


    I was able to do this once before by deleting the file mpenginedb.db in C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows Defender\Scans and it worked. However I have no idea how I did it. It had something to do with toggling it on and off, but that is not working now. The file is in use even in safe mode, I don't remember how to make it not in use, as I tried just turning it on and off. Deleting the files in C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows Defender\Scans\History\Service did not work for me, clearing the log in event manager also did not work. The reason I want this done is because it takes 5 years to load pr

    Protection History Windows 11 23H2

    Cannot delete Protection History. I have tried every way suggested, delete History Service folder, Event viewer clear log, PowerShell etc. to remove Protection History but the logs still do not delete. Windows Security as a whole seems to be working perfectly so I doubt it is corrupted.. Is there any other way?- also had same problem before Windows 11 23H2 update. Using Home addition so no Group Policy Editor but I doubt that would work either. Thanks.
