Windows 10: how do i uninstall Endpoint Protection Service

i am on a windows 10 pc, recently i noticed a new program in my task manager called endpoint protection service. i also noticed my bandwidth get cut after ie running second life and mixxx dj software, open a web page and have mixxx stream shut down. i have gigabit fiber optic internet this should never happen. i can only assume endpoint, as the NEW kid on the block, is causing this. after searching more i found microsoft 365 installed as well i never installed it i have uninstalled that as i do not now, nor will i ever need microsoft office or 365 EVER. now to the ACTUAL problem i cann

Error: McAfee Security as a Service Endpoint Protection needs to be uninstalled while upgrading to Windows 10

I'm running the program to upgrade from Windows 7 Pro to Windows 10. It says I need to uninstall "Mcafee Security as a Service Endpoint Protection". I used the MCPR Mcafee uninstall tool and restarted. I still get the error message. Mcafee is not listed
in my Programs list to uninstall. What else do I need to do to get rid of this Mcafee error and get the upgrade installed?

I assume you have done this:

Open the Settings App (gear icon on your Start Button)

Go to Apps

Scroll down to find Symantec Endpoint Protection

Click that and choose Uninstall
