How do I turn overtype off? Windows 10

I recently purchased a new refurbished laptop off of NewEgg. Everytime I try to go back and type, it will overwrite, and then take any space between this and the paragraphs below and attempt to merge it. I am using the laptops keyboard

However, when I go back in between a word or that space in between this sentence and the one above? I get tghsis. The first 2 letter it doesn't overtype, but the 3rd it starts to. I work with Word, Google Docs, and send notes on Deviantart, it has become nigh impossible to work on adjusting anything with this bug.

I have tried clicking Insert Does nothing, Fn + Insert, Caps Lock + Insert, and they all do. NOTHING. Even when I do insert tfis is wsat it looks like if I click it once, but tftsif is what it loSA like whWHDn I click ck it again. It will not insert for 2 letters, and then try to merge/overwrite

I have gone into my Ease of Access center, turned filter keys on, and then disabled "Show the filter keys on the taskbar". It will still overtype if I go back on any of my words like spaghettss The original words there was "this"

Am I looking at having to reset Windows for this? I have never posted here so I don't even know i'm speaking into an ether or wall. I just want some help as I love this laptop...it just ruins one heavily important thing to my work life, and I don't want $800+ USD to have a slap to my face

    :)
